The Connecticut Department of Transportation is partnering with local transit districts such as River Valley Transit to provide free bus passes for high school students through a new pilot program!
Each school in the program will be provided a limited number of passes and will develop their own procedures for distributing passes.
Through this program, River Valley Transit is now providing passes to the following high schools: Morgan, Middletown, East Hampton, Old Saybrook, Lyme-Old Lyme, East Lyme and Vinyl Technical High School.
River Valley Transit wants to make transportation a convenience, not a challenge, so students, workers, and anyone who chooses to use public transit can make the most of their day without worrying about how they’ll start their day!
