Service Increases Coming Soon
River Valley Transit has received increased funding to expand service span on several bus routes. We have received increased funding to expand the hours of service on several bus routes for both weekday and Saturday service. Additionally, we also received funding to introduce Sunday service on many of our bus routes.
As part of these changes, we also propose reducing the number of combined routes and continuing service on the normal weekday route. This would result in eliminating route 581/583 on the weeknight and 582/583 on Saturday. It would be replaced with a new combined 581/582 route and extended service on the 583. This would result in less combined routes and more service at night. The new routing and elimination of the 581/583 and 582/583 would result in some changes in bus routing on certain streets.
