XtraMile is a ride sharing service that anyone can use to get around. Our shuttle bus picks you up and takes you where you need to go. Download the app, request a ride and go! $1.75 a ride — pay through the app or with cash when boarding.

How do I install the app?
You can install the app on your smartphone or tablet.
Get the app:
Then, follow the instructions for setting up an account. Once your account is setup you can schedule your ride through the app. The app will show you the estimated time of arrival and where the shuttle bus is on a map and more! Typically, you can get a ride within 20 minutes.

What if I don’t have smartphone?
No problem. Just call us to schedule your ride or you can book your ride online from a computer.

Can I book a ride for a certain time?
Yes! Just select the time you need through the app or let us know your appointment time when scheduling.

Can I book a ride in advance?
Yes. The app allows booking up to one day in advance.

Who can ride?
Everyone! As long as your trip starts and ends in an XtraMile service area, you can ride.

Can people with a disability or a special mobility need get a ride?
Yes. Our shuttle buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts and drivers are trained at helping people with disabilities.

Who operates XtraMile?
XtraMile is operated by River Valley Transit and is made possible through funding from the the Federal Transportation Administration, the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation, and local funding sources.
